Halloween For Those On The Margin

You may have several costumes sitting in your home.  I know in my family, my hope was that if we purchased a costume it would be used for many Halloweens and go through both children. However, that was never the case.  It was used once and put in a box. The costume doesn't need to simply collect dust, because there is a child out there who would be delighted to wear it.

Wheatland partners with the local school districts to meet the needs of the children living on the margin through Gift Mart, Serve the Community, & supplying school supplies.

One more way to serve our neighbors is by donating gently used Halloween costumes to one of our partner schools in which over 50% of the students are on a free and reduced lunch program. For these families, there's little or no money for things like costumes - a simple privilege that most of us take for granted.

Please consider donating. You can drop off your gently used Halloween costumes at either of our campuses through October 14. Collection boxes are located in the main lobbies.
