Family

Family Ministry encourages faith building in the home.

The vision of Family Ministry is based on Deuteronomy 6:5-9 (NIV): "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.  These commandments that I give to you today are to be upon your hearts.  Impress them on your children.  Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.  Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them to your foreheads.  Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates."

The Family Ministry’s mission is to equip adults to be spiritual leaders in their households-- to increase their understanding of scripture and to enhance their response to the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual needs of their families.

There are 4 keys to faith practices within Family Ministry:

  1. Caring Conversations
  2. Family Service
  3. Family Devotions
  4. Family Rituals and Traditions
