COVID-19 Update

In-Person Worship Services, Events, Classes, Groups, and Preschool Academy are suspended at Wheatland Salem Church. 

We are carefully monitoring the information in the news and the recommendations from local, state, and national public health organizations regarding the novel coronavirus, commonly referred to as COVID-19.  We are also in close communication with the Wheatland Salem Christian Academy. At this time, we are following recommendations to not hold in-person worship services and events at all Wheatland Salem Church campuses until further notice. Wheatland Salem Christian Academy will suspend classes until the tentative return date of April 30, 2020, in accordance with IPSD 204.

Continue to follow the advice for mitigating the COVID-19 risks highlighted the need to wash our hands, cover coughs, avoid touch contact with others, and stay home and stay safe. The importance social distancing is very important at this time.  

The core of our community is to be devoted, connected, and generous followers of Jesus Christ who love God, love Others, and change the world. There is something deeply powerful about gathering in person to worship God. We acknowledge that this is temporary and new territory for us all. We are actively engaged as we are prepare meaningful at-home experiences for you at Wheatland Online and Worship Online.

Our faith in Jesus Christ helps us stand firm in the knowledge that He is actively engaged and working for us during a time of uncertainty. This is our time to come together in Christ’s name and be the Christian community. We encourage you to pray boldly and act responsively to the needs that arise. We believe in a God who is attentive and responds to us. So let’s be the people that bring glory to His name!

As we continue to make decisions about our life as Wheatland Salem Church, do know that all decisions are being made out of utmost concern for the health and well-being of all. We are also committed to remaining connected with you all. As we put plans in place, there may be particular ways in which we could use your help in caring for our community. We realize many of you may have questions and concerns.  We are actively working to respond as pastors, staff, Leadership Team and congregation to work together at this time. Stay tuned.
