This year for Giftmart we are looking for key Leadership Responsibilities to help make Giftmart successful. Please see below and if you have any questions or are interest in filling a position, please contact Jeanine Sullivan at jssully@comcast.net.
Leadership Responsibilities:
Captain Position: Availability needed September through December. Expected to attend monthly group meetings during that timeframe. Must be willing to lead your team, communicate, organize, and delegate responsibilities. Presence for set up (Friday) and day of event (Saturday) is required.

Job description of teams with available openings:
Toy Collection: Collect and sort toys, responsible for placement of toy collection boxes at schools and local businesses, arrange for transport of toys to and from those locations, document and report toy count to Event Leaders. This is a very busy and active team. (2 Leads)
Gift Wrap: Responsible for assessing all giftwrap supplies needed, i.e. paper, tape, ribbons, scissors, gift bags, etc. Arrange tables and traffic flow of giftwrap area on event day. Be able to manage/direct up to 40+ volunteers. Must be present to set-up area the day before the event. (1 Lead)
Check-in: Organize team day of event for check-in process to move smoothly and quickly. Welcome in guests and check off their name on list, apply wrist bands to adults and children (if attending Kids Team). Direct families either to the Toy Shop Area or to the Shepherds Team, if kids are participating in crafts. Organizational and procedural skills required. (1 Captain/1 Lead)
Crowd Control: Learn layout of church (indoor) to understand and develop a human traffic flow pattern. Advise team of secured areas where general traffic is not allowed, i.e. Shepherds Area and Kids Team. Keep traffic pattern flowing day of event. (1 Lead)
Shepherds Team: Register children participating in crafts (Kids Team). All must have registration card filled out and name tags. Once registered volunteers will shepherd children to designated area for crafts. Once parent is done shopping, then child(ren) will be picked up and checked out. Must understand traffic flow for registration to move swiftly and must be vigilant of child’s safety. (1 Captain/1 Lead)
Kids Team: Must have crafts/games lined up for children day of the event. Organize children into group activities and ensure their safety. (2 Leads)
Toy Shop: Be present to organize and supervise volunteers the night of set up and the day of the event to arrange a toy shop atmosphere. To be able to arrange an equitable variety of toys to choose from through beginning to the end of the event. Also, manage the personal shoppers who help the families shop for toys. (2 Leads)
Book Team: Help sort books donated into reading level categories. Be present the night of set up and the day of the event to arrange the books on tables and distribute the day of. (2 Leads)
Photographer: Required to take photos/videos the night before during set up and the day of the event of volunteers and families, being mindful of the sessions where photos are not allowed. All families must give their permission before their kids can be photographed. (1 Volunteer)
Set-Up: Lead team in setting up (night before). This would be arranging and setting up tables, chairs, etc. Physical labor involved. (1 Captain/1 Lead)
Clean-Up: Lead team in taking down tables, chairs, returning furniture to normal, and cleaning up area after the event (same day). Physical labor involved. (1Captain/1Lead)
