Families Breaking the Stigma of Separation and Divorce: Helping Families in Conflict

Connections: Families Breaking the Stigma of Separation and Divorce | Tuesday, June 25 | 7:00 - 8:30 pm | Naperville Campus

Going through or have been through divorce or separation. Come for conversation, encouragement and support.

This workshop is for families in distress over divorce, separation, and/or family disruption.  We would like your help build healthy connections.

Any parent can attend and/or any child 6th grade and up.  We will meet as a group and then break off into smaller groups with the children and parents being separated to discuss conflict resolution strategies and stress management.  Children are welcome to attend without their parents and parents can attend without children.

We recognize these services are seldom available for families who are going through stressful events and we would like to fill the needed void by beginning in the summer when school resources are not routinely available.

We will be providing a strategic plan for future meetings with this initial group.  There is no charge for attending.  Lastly, we will also discuss mediation options for parents who are seeking to avoid litigation in pre- or post-divorce matters.  However, the main focus for June 25th @ 7PM will be directed towards providing a safe environment for families to discuss and problem-solve conflict and stress in their homes.
