Rekindling our faith can sometimes feel like we are looking for a needle in a haystack. Let's start with something new and different. Stand where you are and begin from there. No chasing, no acting needy, no mindless chatter or trying to contact something that doesn't really make sense or sound real. For some of us, we need to become more childlike and begin to wonder again. We don't have to go on an epic search this time outside ourselves. There is a place within our hearts that "shines like the sun.' (Isaiah 60:1-2) For others, we may need to indulge in a little naivete, agree to go on some wildly indulgent quest, or for the rest of you give in to go on a carefully planned subterfuge. There are some practices that actually sound promising and inviting. They can awaken us to discover a peculiar gift waiting for us. We will EXPLORE these practices in our own unique way and invite joy into our lives. You may even discover self-compassion as we explore these practices together. There is also a way to discover the nearness of God--our ever present help in times of trouble. (Psalm 46:1) And we can awaken our desire for human flourishing by beginning with our own. It might be a time of letting go or a time of taking hold. Let's EXPLORE what this all means together.
