Stop Hunger Now

Here at Wheatland Salem Church we’re committed to changing the world. Have you ever wondered how you personally can get involved in doing exactly that?

Coming up on the night of November 18 at our Naperville campus, we will be hosting a Stop Hunger Now food packing event, where we will be packing thousands of meals of rice, soy, and vegetables to feed children around the world. These meals are sent to school feeding programs, early childhood development programs and orphanages from Haiti to India and from Panama to Tanzania.

There are two ways that you can be involved:

  1. Come and help pack meals on Wednesday, November 18 at the Naperville campus. Two shifts to chose from: 6:30-8 p.m. and 7:30-9 p.m. This is an intergenerational event, children ages 4 and up can work side by side with parents. Sign up to volunteer today!
  2. You can also make a special one-time donation to support this effort. Each meal we pack costs only $0.29 and we have a goal of packing at least 10,000 meals on that night.

Established in 1998, Stop Hunger Now is an international relief organization headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina that coordinates the distribution of food and other life-saving aid around the world. Driven by its vision of a world without hunger, the organization's mission is to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-saving aid to the world's most vulnerable and by creating a global commitment to mobilize the necessary resources.
